The Patriot Benefit begins with a ceremony honoring veterans from the Greatest Generation forward, many of whom served in our nation's fiercest battles: Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and Battle of the Bulge. Among them are Purple Heart recipients, prisoners of war, and wounded warriors from recent conflicts. This moving ceremony sets the patriotic tone for a great day.
Jack Nicklaus designed the LionsGate course, which is a championship venue. He described the course as being “outstanding for several reasons, including its beautiful views, rolling fairways and capability to challenge both the amateur and the seasoned golfer."
General Richard Myers (retired) Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during 9-11, and current President of Kansas State University accepts a check for its Veteran’s Fund.
Relax and experience the camaraderie of the closing ceremony. Enjoy the buffet, share in the excitement of raffle drawings for prizes donated by local businesses, and the presentation of 1st and 2nd place awards.
